Light Recorder

Fatigued by algorithm whisperers and AI slop, making art with my hands helps me keep a relatively safe distance from the matrix. In a world that promotes shortcuts and values instant results, making paintings feels like a gentle f u to the subliminal expectations we all quietly battle.

In my practice I’m consistently inspired to recreate images from old family photos, eager to canonise these memories through a personal lens. In this series I focus on the small radius of my own day to day life capturing the brightness amongst the ordinary. Attempting to preserve and prolong memories using light and colour to describe the feeling of specific moments in time.
